Martha Hansen Fertman directs the Philadelphia School for the Alexander Technique, an innovative teacher training program. In addition, she maintains a private teaching practice in her studio, located in central New Jersey. Martha enjoys working with people from all walks of life.
Martha trained to become an Alexander Technique teacher with two first-generation teachers of the Alexander Technique: Catherine Weilopolska and Marj Barstow. She feels gratefully indebted to both of them and to Elisabeth Walker, another first generation teacher, with whom Martha was privileged to study.
