Nelia Miller is a certified Alexander Technique teacher and interdisciplinary theater artist. She came to the Alexander Technique through her college opera teacher and discovered a new way to understand her body, her voice, and her relationship to the world around her. After six years of study, she completed her teacher training at Soma Studios in June 2026.

Nelia brings to her teaching a background in performance and theater-making, including experience teaching somatics and developmental movement classes, as well as years of working at a desk. She understands the demands of creative work, the fatigue of daily routines, and the ways we can get in our own way without realizing it. The Alexander Technique has helped her discover more ease in how she moves through her work and life, and she enjoys sharing this approach with others.

In private lessons, Nelia uses gentle hands-on guidance and practical exploration to help students notice habitual patterns and discover other possibilities. Rather than adding more effort, students learn to recognize what they are already doing and explore new ways of moving, thinking, and responding. Nelia enjoys working with curious people of all ages and backgrounds, helping them bring greater ease, awareness, and choice into their everyday activities, whether at work, in rehearsal, or in daily life.
